It’s a common fact that we all take our clean, running water for granted…that is until there’s a problem. Problems can arise in the main water supply line, appliance water line, interior water lines or valves inside the home or business. Each requires prompt attention to ensure that your home or business continues to receive clean water. If you experience a drop in water pressure, discoloration or a spot around the exterior that is constantly wet, you may have an issue that warrants a call for diagnosis and repair.
These water lines carry water from the public water authority to your home or business. Typically, the water line is run underground from the street to the home or building either via trenching or a trenchless method. Trenching involves digging thru the lawn to form a ditch, laying the pipe and then burying the water line within. The trenchless method involves burrowing the pipe underground and does less damage to the lawn.
Water mains may break, leak or burst and it is more cost-effective, at times, to replace the line rather than repairing a bad section.
Appliance water lines
Washing machines, dishwashers and refrigerators have supply lines that connect the appliance to the water supply. These lines can break or leak causing a lot of damage to your flooring if not caught in the early stages.
Interior water lines
Interior water lines run from the main water shut off valve location to other areas of the house such as the kitchen, bathrooms and laundry area. Repairs are generally needed if these lines break or crack. It’s easy to find the closest shutoff valve and turn the water off to that area until you’re able to get it repaired.
Water valves regulate the flow of water through pipes. As they age, they can leak and cause significant damage if left unattended.
